Several decades ago on Long Island, New York, the Hambsch family were contributing to the growth of their community as builders and masonry contractors. At 13 years of age Kurt Hambsch, Jr. started working in the family business where he began to garner his extensive knowledge and experience in the structural concrete contracting business.
In that rich family tradition, Kurt founded Southern Gulf Construction, Inc. in 1989 and began his own contribution to building the community of Southwest Florida. As the Fort Myers area grew, SGC has also grown from a few employees to a full service construction company with over 250 employees during peak phases and performing multiple projects across the state of Florida.
